The Good Clinic is pleased to announce that Dr. Marissa Drake has accepted a position as a nurse practitioner in our Nordhaus primary care clinic, 307 1st Ave NE in Minneapolis, MN 55413. She will start seeing clients in September 2021.
Marissa has been in family practice for more than six years and believes in working with patients to co-create a plan of care that encompasses their goals, values, beliefs and enhances their health. “I believe healthy lifestyle habits are fundamental to wellness and chronic disease management,” she said. “Individual health exists within the larger context of relationships with family, work, spirituality, and community. Developing relationships with patients is very important to me, and it’s what I love about working in family medicine.”
With a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Winona State University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from The University of Minnesota, Dr. Drake’s clinical interests include mental health, wellness and chronic disease prevention, and women’s health. She also has the following licenses/certification(s):
- Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, FNP
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Minnesota
- Registered Nurse Minnesota
- Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association
